Any tips on anatomy?
If you want to practice anatomy this website is the best place, especially if you want to practice realism. It has a lot of different poses that you can practice, from nude to clothed, male to female, and even hands and feet.
Using other tutorials is really helpful sometimes, and muscle anatomy is my favorite kind of tutorial because you can break things down, rather than just looking at one huge picture.
Also, this guy posted a lot of neat tutorials on different things like animals and humans. You should definitely check out some of those too if you’re interested in finding some good tuts.
If you want tips from me personally, I guess all I have to say is do whatever you want, or what makes you happy. Exaggerate your anatomy, or keep it realistic. Either way, there’s no right or wrong. There’s amazing artists out there who’ve made it big and don’t even use proper anatomy, like Ed Edd n Eddy, or Dexters Lab. Lots of shows we grew up with and remember well.
Hell, even shows like Marvelous misadventures of Flapjack, they didn’t even have elbows, their arms were noodles, but the art was still fantastic. There’s no “proper” way to draw anatomy, just go wild with it, :P
me: (worries about all the things I haven’t done yet)
me: (still doesn’t do them)
